Job requirements

The Content & Audience Manager is a crucial, high-impact role responsible for driving the digital growth and engagement of Warner Music Benelux and Spinnin’ Records artist rosters. As a client-facing role, the Manager translates high-level commercial and marketing objectives into actionable digital strategies. This position ideates and briefs global and local content strategies across all social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube) into a broader social media team - to maximise artist visibility, fan acquisition and music consumption.

The Manager is the primary liaison between artist management, internal creative teams, marketing, A&R and the execution team (social media managers), ensuring alignment and maximising ROI across social campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust, data-informed social media strategies that align with artist release cycles and label commercial goals (eg. music consumption). 

  • Strategise and execute initiatives to grow the digital footprint and fan base of artists and label properties across socials and owned channels.

  • Own the strategic vision for the entire social presence of assigned artists, providing clear direction and priorities to the Social Media Managers in a 1:X structure. 

  • Provide the "Why" and "What," setting the strategic framework and commercial context for the Social Media Managers. 

  • Maintain a productive, structured workflow with a team of Social Media Managers, formalising strategy handoffs via detailed strategy briefs.

  • Allocate resources and define the key performance indicators for all social campaigns. 

  • Serve as the main point of contact for external stakeholders (artist management) and internal teams (A&R, Marketing, Creative). 

  • Present strategy proposals and campaign performance reports, ensuring transparency and expectation management. 

  • Approve the content calendars and creative direction developed by the Social Media Managers, ensuring brand integrity and strategic adherence. 

  • Oversee and interpret comprehensive campaign performance results, focusing on commercial impact and strategic goal achievement. 

  • Translate complex digital data and insights into actionable strategies and recommendations for artists, managers, and label executives.

  • Provide high-level, actionable recommendations to artists/labels for strategic pivots and long-term brand optimisation. 

  • Manage social media budgets and define target audience parameters. 

  • Work closely with the paid media team to ensure organic content strategy and paid advertising efforts are fully aligned and amplify each other.

Key Requirements

  • 4-5+ proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, CRM and audience development, ideally within the music, entertainment, or media industry.

  • Deep, native understanding of all major social and streaming platforms, their analytics tools, and their evolving content ecosystems (especially short-form video).

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex campaigns simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with A&R, Product Management, Marketing teams to ensure campaign and strategy alignment. 

  • Highly creative marketer with the ability to balance innovative ideas with strategic, data-led execution. 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting strategies and insights to artists, management, and senior leadership.

  • Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills.

  • Expert knowledge of social media analytics tools and strong analytical capabilities to interpret performance data, translating it into clear, actionable insights for campaign optimization.

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple artist profiles and campaigns simultaneously.

  • Fluent, Dutch and English.
